Richard Yap shared his thoughts on actors entering politics. On Thursday's "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," the King of Talk asked Richard for his two cents on the claim that actors running in elections is causing political bankruptcy. Richard ran for a congressional seat back in the 2019 and 2022 elections, but lost both of his bids.
"I think that's unfair because there are a lot of artists who have the brains to be able to be in politics, to be in public service," he said. "That statement is based on a certain percentage of people who are there in power and sinasabi nila [na] gano'n na lahat," he added. "So it's a generalization.
It's unfair for a lot of us." Richard starred in " Abot-Kamay Na Pangarap " with Jillian Ward, Carmina Villarroel, and more. He has two upcoming films, " Fatherland " with Allen Dizon and " Happy Homes " with Paolo Contis, Eugene Domingo, Angeline Quinto, and Adrian Alandy.
