Richard Curran: Why economic storms on horizon could have chilling effect on sunny political outlook

The Government will put its record on the economy front and centre in this general election. Many voters may want to focus on what they see as the real problems such as housing, childcare and the cost of living on the assumption that the economy is taken care of. Yet it would be reckless to assume that the Irish economy we have seen over the last five to seven years will simply keep rolling on, immune from the wider storms on the horizon.
