Wishes SRK Were Her Dad - EXCLUSIVE Jessel Taank on stereotypes against Indians During a conversation with Zoom, Jessel said, "I was largely misunderstood in the beginning. I talk about it a lot that when you look at Indians, there's a very strong stereotype that surrounds us. We are doctors, and lawyers, and people don't think of us having any hardships ever.

So, I was playing defence a lot. But, at the end of the day, truth always prevails. As people got to know me, they realised she is everything she's saying she is," she added.
