RFOR Sawmill opens newly renovated space capable of holding up to 30,000 acres of felled trees

The undersecretary of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Homer Wilkes, visited the Restoration Forest Products (RFOR) in Bellemont for a ribbon cutting celebrating an expansion of the sawmill on Oct. 8.

The undersecretary of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Homer Wilkes, visited the Restoration Forest Products (RFOR) in Bellemont for a ribbon cutting celebrating an expansion of the sawmill on Oct. 8. RFOR is now capable of holding up to 30,000 acres worth of lumber annually, meaning more forest restoration efforts and overall wildland fire mitigation can be established in northern Arizona, according to Wilkes.
