Citroen has long distinguished itself with a design philosophy that prioritises comfort and unconventional style over sportiness and performance, resulting in some of the most distinctive and memorable cars. From the groundbreaking Traction Avant to the iconic 2CV and DS models, Citroen’s legacy of innovation is woven into history. Our test “car” this week continues that legacy.
The Ami, a compact electric quadricycle with a modest 75km range and a top speed of 45km/h, is designed specifically for city residents with short commutes. At just 2.4 metres long, its small, boxy frame makes it even more compact than the Smart car, allowing for easy navigation through tight city spaces – albeit without the speed or comfort of more conventional vehicles.
