Acorn Property Group’s application to partially redevelop Emery Gate shopping centre in Chippenham is currently being considered by Wiltshire Council. The plans include the partial demolition of the existing centre and the construction of 225 homes alongside 17 revamped commercial units, ranging from retail to leisure and hospitality. As part of the plans submitted to the council, a cost plan has been put together by Lambert Smith Hampton.
This estimates that the total cost of construction would be £52.726 million if the proposals went ahead. READ MORE: New Chippenham plans for 650-home scheme and link road When the plans were submitted, Acorn’s Dane Cummings promised the largest investment in Chippenham town centre for decades.
