ISLAMABAD - Retired superintendent of police (SP) Islamabad, Arif Hussain Shah, his son Wasef Shah, and Arif Shah’s brother-in-law have turned out to be the killers of a man, Hamza, it emerged during investigation. Few days back, Islamabad’s Aabpara police had arrested the retired SP in connection with the kidnapping of a man over a money dispute. He was arrested in connection with the case registered under section 365 of PPC after the complainant, Mohammad Waqar submitted a supplementary statement nominating the SP and his son in the kidnapping case.
On March 15, his younger brother Hamza Khan left for the SP’s native town in Mansehra and the SP in his earlier statement also admitted that he came to meet him. However, Hamza didn’t return, besides his whereabouts were also not known. He told the police in the statement that on March 11, there was a scuffle between his brother and the SP along with his son at Chatha Bakhtawar.
Dysfunctional fountains get attention of city managers after a decade long neglect The complainant suspected that the SP and his son abducted his brother and asked the police to nominate them in the FIR registered over the kidnapping and get Hamza Khan recovered. After the arrest, the retired SP was given in police custody on two-day physical remand. Besides, a police team was also sent to Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa to trace the kidnapped victim.
According to local police, Arif Shah’s brother-in-law revealed the mystery behind the blind murder during interrogation. He told the investigators that Hamza was called to Shah’s native village in Mansehra where he was killed and the body was buried in a deserted area. The Islamabad police went to the village Khaki in Mansehra and managed to find Hamza’s body with the help of dogs despite the fact that the local police and residents created many obstacles but the Islamabad police succeeded in recovering the body.

Aabpara police have registered an FIR in the alleged murder of Lady Constable Iqra after receiving a preliminary post mortem report. Then SP Traffic Syed Arif Hussain Shah allegedly developed illicit relations with lady constable Iqra, and was forcing her to keep mum, revealed a member of the investigation team.
The 20-year-old lady constable was killed at the residence of SP Traffic Syed Arif Hussain Shah and was rushed to hospital by the SP instead of alerting police apparently to hide his crime. In the recent case, the motive for enmity was the dispute over an amount of Rs 8 million. The 30-year-old employee of the Senate of Pakistan went to meet Arif Shah at his home in Mansehra on March 15, and had been missing since then.
Arif, his son and his brother-in-law and other accomplices murdered Hamza and buried the body in nearby area. Shah kept the three mobile phones of the deceased on and threw them in the vicinity of the G-10 Metro Station in Islamabad to create proof of Hamza’s return to Islamabad. The Aabpara police, however, continued their efforts, and when Arif Shah’s brother-in-law was arrested from Mansehra, he disclosed Hamza’s murder.
