Restaurant review: Bread shortage aside, it’s all good vibes and top-notch flavours at this new wine-bar-in-a-coffee-shop

Appropriately, there are two little white dogs seated with their owners at the window table next to us in Notions, the new wine-bar-in-a-coffee-shop at Two Pups on Francis Street. I’m always a little envious when I see dogs in restaurants, because my own two hounds have ruled themselves out of treats such as this by their bad behaviour around food. My fault, I know, but still.

We’re here a week after opening and the young woman serving us says they are still finding their feet, which is fair enough, though I’m not sure that it entirely excuses the fact Notions has run out of bread two hours into service..
