Republicans are projected to hit the 218-seat threshold needed to secure the majority in the House, while the Democrats’ have captured 208 seats, NBC News reported. Last week, Republicans took control of the US Senate, winning 53 seats, while Democrats and Democratic-aligned independents took 47 seats.
