Speculation about Deion Sanders' coaching future is once again in overdrive. Sanders has clinched Colorado's first bowl game in eight years, but he has far loftier aspirations in his second season. At 7-2, the Buffaloes control their own path to competing for the Big 12 title and a College Football Playoff spot.

His success, along with Shedeur Sanders planning to enter next year's draft, have fans and pundits wondering if he'll follow his son to the NFL. According to FOX Sports' Jordan Schultz , Coach Prime isn't planning an exit just yet. Sanders hasn't officially spoken to anybody about going to the NFL, and his "sole focus" is on Colorado finishing the season strong.

That arguably doesn't say much, as nobody thought Sanders would leave Colorado during the season. The question is whether NFL teams will come knocking during the offseason coaching cycle. Andrew Wevers/Getty Images Analysts haven't resisted the juicy pairing of Sanders and the Dallas Cowboys.

Stephen A. Smith called for the Cowboys to tank, hire Coach Prime in place of Mike McCarthy, and draft Dak Prescott. Paul Finebaum also called Deion Sanders an excellent fit for Jerry Jones in Dallas.

Adam Schefter continued what will likely be a long-running conversation on ESPN shows by calling it "logical" for Deion to jump to the NFL if he can coach his son. "We're not saying it's happening." Schefter said of Deion and Shedeur going to the same NFL team.

"We're saying that this is one of those options that's going to heat up, that's going to be in play this offseason." While it seemingly didn't work, Sanders tried to personally squash the speculation of him leaving Boulder. On Tuesday, Michael Irvin asked his former Cowboys teammate after coaching "America's Team.

" Sanders, conducting the interview from his office, got up and brought his computer to show Colorado's practice field. "I love it where I am," Sanders declared . As the football world lights up the rumor mill, Sanders will focus on Colorado's next game against Utah this Saturday.
