It is because I believe in what they do for the fishing communities around the UK like the one I live in and support.
“Do we ever think about how our fish is caught and who catches our fish? Cornwall has some of the best fishing in the world, with a fantastic variety of different species. Self-employed fishermen go out to catch this amazing produce in turbulent seas, putting their lives at risk to make a living. “Fishing is extremely hard manual work, and when they go out, there can be little or no catch.
” Jude shared that one in 16 career fishermen lose their lives at sea, with some sustaining life-changing injuries. Some fishermen also face financial hardship when storms prevent them from going out to earn a living. “The financial hardship during these times takes its toll on mental health and families,” he added.
Despite overcoming a foot injury, Jude is ready to take on the marathon. He said: “Follow me on my journey as I overcome a foot injury to be marathon-ready in a few months. “The Fishermen’s Mission is a lifeline to the fishing community.
Please help me to raise what we can for people that care.” Jude aims to raise £10,000 for the Fishermen's Mission. Donations are currently at £1,145.
