Choreographer-turned-director Remo D’Souza is all set to return to the director’s chair with not just one, but two exciting projects in the pipeline. The celebrated filmmaker is developing the much-anticipated sequel to ABCD (Any Body Can Dance) and is also simultaneously developing a romantic film. After the resounding success of ABCD (2013) and its sequel ABCD 2 (2015), both of which broke new ground in dance-based storytelling in Indian cinema, Remo plans to revisit the franchise that made dance a mainstream cinematic celebration.

Sources close to the filmmaker suggest that the new installment is in the early development stage, with a fresh storyline, and powerful choreography. It will feature a fresh take while retaining (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).

While details are under wraps, sources reveal that the project will focus on a heartfelt story with emotionally rich characters, marking a refreshing shift from his usual high-energy dance spectacles. “This film will have emotion, melody, and of course, a bit of dance—but in a very different way,” shared the source hinting at a more grounded and emotionally-driven narrative. Right now, both projects are in the early stages, and most of the details are under wraps.
