Remembrance Day Ceremonies were well attended across the Okanagan on Monday, Nov. 11, including in Peachland. Approximately 1,000 people turned out to remember and honour those who gave their lives or were injured in service to Canada, and those who still serve.

The playing of “O Canada” was followed by Last Post, Lament, and Reveille. The Act of Remembrance and “In Flanders Field” was also read to the large crowd. Wreaths were laid following the ceremony and many people placed their poppies at the base of the Cenotaph on Beach Avenue.
