Religious hatred crime in Dubai: Pakistani youth brutally kills two Telangana men at workplace

In a case of religious hate crime, two young men from Telangana were brutally hacked to death by a Pakistani youth in Dubai. The gruesome double murder took place inside the bakery where both the victims and the accused were employed. Two more Telugu individuals sustained injuries in the same attack. The incident, which occurred on April 11, 2025, came to light only recently, stirring strong reactions from Indian leaders and officials. Union Minister and BJP Telangana President G. Kishan Reddy shared his concern publicly. In a statement released on X, he said: “Deeply shocked by the brutal killing of two Telugu youth from Telangana in Dubai, Ashtapu Premsagar from Nirmal Dist. and Srinivas from Nizamabad Dist. Spoke to Hon’ble External Affairs Minister Shri @DrSJaishankar ji on the matter and he has assured full support to the bereaved families, and the urgent repatriation of the mortal remains. The MEA will also work towards ensuring the delivery of speedy justice in the matter.” Following Minister’s intervention, Indian Consulate officials in Dubai visited the Bur Dubai Police Station to gather details. Dubai Police officially informed them that the crime had been registered as a premeditated murder. Two others injured in the same attack were also identified as Indian nationals. Authorities confirmed that arrangements are being made to send the mortal remains back to India immediately. The Indian Consulate has requested local authorities to expedite the judicial process and extend full cooperation in the investigation. “I am deeply saddened by the tragic killings of our brothers from Telangana in Dubai,” said Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Minister of State for Home Affairs, in a post on X. “Spoke to Ashtapu Sandeep, brother of Prem Sagar, and assured full support to the family as they await the return of the mortal remains,” he added.
