Regional West invites area clinicians to join the 2025 West Nebraska Stroke Symposium on Wednesday, May 7. The symposium will be held from 9 a.m.
to 5:15 p.m. in Regional West’s Education Center.
Experts will present on topics relevant to stroke care and prevention. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.
, along with an escape room. Lunch will be provided. Stroke Program and Certifications Coordinator Janelle Schroeder, RN, MSN, SCRN, said she is looking forward to hosting the symposium and sharing stroke education with the area’s healthcare community.
“We are excited to once again host the West Nebraska Stroke Symposium for healthcare providers across the region,” she said. “This symposium is a great opportunity to learn about interdisciplinary stroke care across the continuum from emergency medical services (EMS) to rehabilitation. Current, evidence-based practice will be shared by experts in neurology at Regional West and Swedish Medical Center in Denver, Colorado, our partner in stroke care.
” Regional West’s Stroke Program is designed to provide evidence-based primary stroke care, including evaluation, treatment and education to patients who present or are transferred with signs and symptoms of stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA). Physicians, advanced practice providers, and nurses provide acute stroke care services 24 hours a day, seven days a week to help all patients receive exceptional, innovative treatment. Regional West is certified as a Primary Stroke Center by the Joint Commission and the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association.
