One play from Saturday's Duke Blue Devils vs. No. 5 Miami Hurricanes game is making waves on social media.
At one point during the first half of the contest, Duke wide receiver Sahmir Hagans was racing up the field when Miami linebacker Francisco Mauigoa came charging in to make a tackle. Some say Mauigoa was aiming to punch the ball out, but he missed it and ended up rocking Hagans straight in the head. Hagans did fumble but quickly recovered his own ball.
No flag was thrown on the play, and Hagans seemed fine, staying in the game without missing a beat. This wasn't called a personal foul ..
. Obviously trying to punch at the ball but still. pic.
