PETALING JAYA: Mixed doubles shuttlers Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Lai Jemie were in red-hot form when they smashed into the semi-finals of the Japan Masters. The world No. 10 pair needed only 35 minutes to beat world No.

20 home pair Hiroki Midorikawa-Natsu Saito 21-16, 21-13 in Kumamoto on Friday (Nov 15). The independent shuttlers will next take on Thailand's 2021 world champion Dechapol Puavaranukroh and his new partner Supissara Paewsampran for a place in the final. The Thai duo prevented an all-Malaysian semi-final when they ousted Hoo Pang Ron-Cheng Su Yin 21-17, 21-16.
