Red Jet passengers turned away due to limited capacity last night

Passengers to the Isle of Wight were reportedly turned away from the Red Jet last night (Thursday, April 17).

Several Red Funnel passengers were reportedly turned away from the Isle of Wight ferry last night (Thursday, April 17) due to limited capacity. The passengers were advised to wait over 90 minutes for the next sailing. A passenger told the County Press they arrived for the 9.

05pm sailing, and were told they couldn't board the ferry due to limited capacity. The passenger said there was only space for 148 passengers due to staffing on Red Jet 6. The passenger said around a dozen people were turned away from the ferry, and it is understood that Red Jet operated on a limited capacity for at least three sailings.
