Recover building challan dues faster: MC chief

Times News Network Ludhiana: In a bid to enhance revenue, MC commissioner Aaditya Dachalwal directed building branch officials to expedite recovery against challans issued against building bylaw defaulters. Building branch officials have also been directed to take strict action against illegal buildings and ensure that no one constructs a building without a sanctioned building plan. These directions were issued by MC commissioner Dachalwal during a meeting held with building branch officials at MC Zone D office on Tuesday.

Dachalwal directed officials to complete assessment of unassessed challans and expedite recovery of dues. He also asked officials to recover pending CLU charges from buildings. Directing MTPs and ATPs to monitor the situation regularly, Dachalwal said that he would conduct review meetings to check progress every 15 days.
