Prayagraj : A 22-year-old youth of Purapande Sadwa village allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his house under the limits of Industrial Area police station on Thursday night, police said. The deceased, identified as Arvind Prajapati , was bailed out about two months back in connection with an elopement case, SHO (Industrial Area) Mahesh Mishra told TOI. The police had already chargesheeted him in the case.
On Thursday evening, he was hanging out with his friends when his family members rebuked him for his addiction habit. They forcibly brought him back home and further reprimanded him. Miffed over this, he went to his room and hung himself from the ceiling fan.
Upon being informed by family members, a police team rushed to the spot and brought the body down after breaking the door. The body was later sent for postmortem..
