The leaders, who include former Secretary to the Abia State government, Ralph Egbu, former Commissioner, Victoria Akanwa, Okechi Etche Adinigwe Nwoke, among others, spoke at St Ann Secondary school in Obehie during the flag off of construction of Obehie-Umudobia-Owaza road. They said that the loss Otti and his Labour Party suffered in 2023 would not be repeated in 2027.
Speaking about the future of the oil producing local government, the former Secretary to the Abia State government, Ralph Egbu said his people were benefiting from the present administration in the State and had no choice than to support the Governor. The PDP and APGA leaders said that belonging to the opposition parties would not prevent them from acknowledging what the Abia State government was presently doing for the people of Ukwa West. Responding, Otti welcomed the stakeholders and described them as accomplished men, saying that they would be fully received into his party, Labour Party, in due time.
“And you spoke very very well. We do not take it for granted and in due course we will receive you even in a better fashion,” Gov. Otti stated.
It would be recalled that the Abia State chapter of the PDP recently expelled the Chairman of the PDP Board of Trustees (BoT), Adolphus Wabara for allegedly tipping Governor Otti for a second term in office.
