REACTION: Awesome attacking from Bulls sees players learn lessons from losses

Bradford Bulls have been furiously working on improving in attack over the past week, with Brian Noble and Lee Greenwood delighted to see that come off.

BRADFORD Bulls produced a scintillating attacking display yesterday to win 48-24 at Featherstone Rovers in the Betfred Championship. From a side that looked frankly clueless in attack against Barrow nine days earlier, it was a remarkable turnaround. They cut through Rovers at will and probably should have scored closer to 60 or 70 points with the amount of chances they created.

Speaking to the T&A after the game, Bulls head coach Brian Noble said: “I was pleased with that invention in attack, and the players will be too. “We worked really hard on that last week and Lee Greenwood loves his attacking football , so it was nice for him to see the things he’s put in place come off. “We got what we wanted today, and we played how we wanted to.

“We scored in a number of ways, and I’ve been trying to impress upon the players that we need a variety of kicks in attack, while also showing patience. “I thought we saw those kicks creating pressure today, we weren’t reliant on lofting the ball up to Ok (Jayden Okunbor) and hoping something happens. “My opinion is that we made some big strides with this performance today, but we still need to make some more.

He ended the game at half back after James Meadows had been sin-binned for dissent and he rounded off proceedings in style, with a brilliant assist out of the back of his hand off the floor to set up Kieran Gill for Bulls’ ninth and final try.

Noble said: “I thought Jordan was one of our better players today and we had to keep him on. “We were going to take him off with 10 minutes to go, but Jimmy couldn’t keep his mouth shut and got sent to the bin. “That’s a lesson learned for Jimmy, because I thought he’d put together his best 65-minute display of the year.

” But Noble was keen to make sure the whole team came in for praise, especially with the way they attacked . He said: "It helps when everybody is contributing. "The big blokes in the middle did their job by being a threat in there, stopping people moving on.

"The halves did some things to make sure our edges were effective too. "Our players out there are quite dynamic and if we get the opposition defender one-on-one out wide, we generally create some kind of opportunity. "I'm pleased with what I saw today in attack.
