PC hardware giant Razer has officially paused sales in the United States following the recent surge of tariff rates on goods imported into the country. Coming after Nintendo officially delayed pre-orders of the Nintendo Switch 2, Razer is seemingly following suit.While Razer has yet to confirm whether or not the tariff situation is the cause for hardware sales being paused, multiple high-ticket items have been removed from sale in North America.
At the time of writing, laptops such as the popular Blade 16 line have been removed from sale.Razer pulls product sales from the United States Speaking to The Verge, Razer’s American PR representative Andy Johnston wouldn’t state whether or not America’s rampant tariff situation was to blame. “We do not have a comment at this stage regarding tariffs,” Johnston said.
Multiple product pages on Razer’s US website now lead directly to 404 Page Not Found errors complete with Razer’s confused snake icon. Prior to the announcement of the high tariff rates, US customers could ore-order the Blade 16 laptop. However, would-be customers can still ask for an email notification when affected items are available.
Laptops are not the only new item affected by this situation. Alongside the pulled pages of the Blade 16 and other laptops, the company’s new Adjustable Laptop Stand also only allows potential customers to be notified, despite official emails stating the product is “available now”.US customers are being hit with this web page when attempting to pre-order products in America.

With China and Taiwan suffering from 54% and 32% tariff rates, it is the most likely reason why the company would be pausing hardware sales in the United States.At the time of writing, all of the affected products in the United States are available to purchase in every other country, even Canada which has sadly been affected by the US’ economic decisions for the pre-order period of Nintendo Switch 2.
