Rawalpindi - Rawat police here on Friday said that they had arrested a man for allegedly killing his wife with the help of a spiritual healer (aamil) and dumping the dead body some four months ago.

Rawalpindi - Rawat police here on Friday said that they had arrested a man for allegedly killing his wife with the help of a spiritual healer (aamil) and dumping the dead body some four months ago. The police said that they had arrested Muhammad Amin, resident of Bagah Sheikhan, and Israr Ahmed, the spiritual healer, for murdering Qudsia Batool, a private school teacher, and burying the dead body at undisclosed place. Later on the dead body of Qudsia was recovered from a nullah in the limits of Rawat police.

The police claimed that Amin with the help of Israr strangulated the teacher as Amin was not happy with her wife. Amin on December 5, 2024 lodged an FIR with Rawat police saying that Qudsia had gone missing. The investigators said that Qudsia along with her husband was a frequent visitor to Israr.



The deceased woman had given gold jewellery and cash to the spiritual header to seek help. After getting no positive result, she had been demanding her jewellery back from Israr, the police maintained. Four men publicly executed in one day in Afghanistan The unhappy husband and the spiritual healer took Qudsia to a deserted place on the pretext to carry out spiritual healing and strangulated her to death before burying her body.

In the FIR registered about missing of Qudsia, her husband had claimed that they had been married for 17 years and had a daughter. He said that on December 5 last year he and Qudsia went to the shrine Kalyam Sharif. On the way back to home, when they reached at Chakbeli Morr, Qudsia said she wanted to go to her mother’s house.

Using public transport she went to her mother and he came to his house. Amin said that later he tried to contact his wife on her cell phone but the phone was not responding. On December 7, my father in law and brother in law came to me and asked about Qudsia.

I told them she went to their house and her phone had since been switched off, the husband had told the police. He alleged that he had handed over cash after selling his cattle and jewellery that she had taken away with her. He suspected that she had eloped with unknown man and asked the police to recover her.
