He reflected on his journey in the film industry and highlighted his role in Kiran Rao 's 'Laapataa Ladies', where he plays a police officer. The actor shared insights about his background, revealing that he is the son of a priest.

He emphasised that he grew up with very little, relying solely on the spirituality and honesty instilled in him by his father. He walked around Mumbai on foot and lived in a small 10x12 house with an outdoor bathroom. When he arrived in the city, he knew no one and had no support. Despite these challenges, he always believed that a new beginning would come in his life.
