The Baltimore Ravens are reportedly bringing in some defensive reinforcements after cracking the seal on their first win on Sunday. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the team is bringing a familiar face back to that side of the ball in hopes of generating more pressure on opposing quarterbacks. "More pass-rush help on the way," Schefter reported .

"Ravens are bringing back DE Yannick Ngakoue, who last played in Baltimore in 2020, per source. The 29-year-old Ngakoue has 69 career NFL sacks." Ngakoue was a key piece to the Jacksonville Jaguars pass rush during their "Sacksonville" era and was selected to a Pro Bowl in his second year with the club back in 2017.

Ngakoue has bounced around quite a bit since those first four seasons in Jacksonville — suiting up for the Ravens, Vikings , Raiders, Colts and Bears. The former third-round pick has posted double-digit sacks or close to it over the past few seasons and is still a viable threat off the edge. Cooper Neill/Getty Images It never hurts to have another veteran presence that can rush the QB, so he should fit in nicely with what Baltimore has right now.

Ngakoue spent the 2023 season with the Chicago Bears where he started 13 games and recorded four sacks. The Bears had reportedly been in contact with the 29-year-old this offseason in hopes of potentially running things back. But the Maryland product now finds himself in the Charm City close to where he grew up.
