Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker will go down as one of the best kickers of all time. But he hasn't been good to start the 2024 season. Tucker missed his only field goal attempt on Sunday, a 46-yard kick that would have put the Ravens up 31-6 over the Dallas Cowboys with 10:41 to play in the fourth quarter.

The miss was Tucker's third of the season in eight tries. On Monday, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh addressed Tucker's inaccuracies to start the year. Harbaugh said he talked to Tucker, and found out the legendary kicker is going through an "issue" with his technique.

“I just love the guy and respect him," Harbaugh said , per video posted on the Ravens' X account. "[Tucker's] everything that you want in a player and friend. So that was the basis [of the conversation].

"Beyond that, for Justin, it’s just a technique issue he’s working through right now. He’s got a technique thing going on. He’ll work through it.

He knows exactly what it is and just needs to smooth it back out. I’m very confident that he will.” Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports Tucker has made 62.

5% of his field goal attempts this season, down from his career average of 89.7% in his 13 years in the league. Tucker is the most accurate field goal kicker in NFL history, but he'll have to fix his technique quickly to keep that title.

All of Tucker's misses this season are from 40-plus yards. He's 0-for-2 on field goals of 50-plus yards, but has made all eight of his extra point attempts entering Week 4.
