NEW DELHI: Indian author and rationalist Sanal Edamaruku was arrested in connection with a 2020 visa fraud case.

NEW DELHI: Indian author and rationalist Sanal Edamaruku was arrested in Poland in connection with a 2020 visa fraud case. Sanal was taken into custody at the Warsaw airport. An Interpol Red Corner Notice was issued on the instructions of India.

Sanal Edamaruku had arrived in Poland to attend a human rights meeting. He had been living in Finland since 2012. The Catholic Church had filed a case against Sanal for blasphemy.
