Built from the early-1920s to the mid-1930s, variations were introduced from outside contractors, as the wagons were modified to carry different materials, including a covered roof for lime traffic. Several are preserved at Rocks by Rail: The Living Ironstone Museum near Oakham. The wagons – the first hoppers made by – will offer variations including four diagrams, survivors in service, lime-carrying versions and industrial conversions.

Rapido promises extensive detail and metal bearings. Engineering samples have been received by the manufacturer, with pre-orders open and individual wagons costing £34.95, although no delivery date has yet been revealed.
