Batting first, Metro could only put up 107-9 in their 20 overs with opener Imranuzzaman making a sluggish 30 off 42 balls and Aminul Islam Biplob making an unbeaten 23 off 24 balls late down the order. Pacers Robiul Hoque and Alauddin Babu were the most successful bowlers, claiming three and two wickets respectively for Rangpur. In the day's previous match, captain Nurul Hasan Sohan's 52 off 39 balls helped Khulna post 146 all out in 19.3 overs after being sent to bat first. Ahmed Sharif was the pick of the bowlers, claiming 4-26, while Fahad Hossain took 3-20.

Despite captain Yasir Ali making 37 off 27 balls and Nayeem Hasan hitting an unbeaten 34 off 27 balls, Chattogram finished on 139-6. Metro, loser of the first qualifier, will get another bite at the cherry when they face Khulna, winner of the eliminator, in the second qualifier on Sunday. The winner of that match will face Rangpur in the final on Tuesday.
