Rangers' horror Champions League record officially broken by Celtic's rivals

Rangers are officially NOT the worst-ever Champions League team. The unwanted record was last night surpassed by one of Celtic's rivals from this season's UEFA competition. BSC Young Boys finished the new-look league phase with zero points, a goal difference of minus-21 after eight matches.

Their fate was sealed following last night's 1-0 home defeat to Red Star Belgrade - who also failed to qualify for the play-off round. Statistically, Rangers became the worst-ever team to feature in the UCL's group stage during their last venture in 2022 under Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
