Randeep Hooda’s Church Scene In Jaat Causes Trouble, Christian Community Demands Ban On Film; Here’s Why

Co-starring Bollywood actors Sunny Deol and Randeep Hooda, Jaat released on April 10, 2025. The film has been doing exceptionally well at the box office, despite releasing after Salman Khan’s Sikandar, which isn’t doing a good business. Well, despite being praised for its dialogues and powerful action sequence, the film seems to have found itself in trouble.

According to reports of Hindustan Times, a Christian community is demanding a ban on the film because of a scene featuring Hooda inside the church. In the scene, which has caused quite a stir, Randeep is seen standing inside a church, beneath a crucifix which is placed above the sacred pulpit. In another scene, members of the congregation pray in the same church.



The scene comes after it is hinted that acts of violence have taken place inside the church. The community has found the scene offensive. It is to be noted that the scene was also a part of the film.

In a video, which has surfaced on the internet, protestors can be seen raising slogans like “Randeep Hooda murdabad.” A post shared by True Scoop (@truescoop) According to the publication, the community initially planned to protest outside the cinema theatres which screened Jaat .

However, police intervention prevented their demonstrations. Now the representatives have submitted a memorandum to the Joint Commissioner. They have demanded a ban on the film’s screenings and are calling for legal action against the film’s team including the cast and the crew as they allegedly hurt the community’s religious sentiments.
