Randeep Hooda was a special guest at News18’s Rising Bharat Summit in Delhi today, April 9, where he opened up about his silence on the clashes in Manipur despite being married to a Manipuri woman. The Jaat actor said, “Maybe it did not go viral on social media. What would I even say? I am not a politician, I am a simple artiste.

Whatever I could say, I said. Me and wife secretly used to provide oxygen masks, etc, there during Covid. What else can we even do? Kaam kisi aur ka hain unhe karna chahiye.

” The actor added, “Even now the situation is bad there. There used to be a shortage of supply chain there so people would struggle for basic things like oil, water, etc. But then things got better and development took place.

People were happy and just then, this conflict happened. Sarkar hi kuch kar sakti hain.” Randeep Hooda has finally returned to horseback riding after more than two years of recovery.

The actor suffered a severe knee injury while working on his maiden directorial project, Swatantrya Veer Savarkar . The injury, which occurred when the film was initially shelved due to financial constraints, left him with multiple ligament tears in his knee, requiring extensive rehabilitation. Randeep, who underwent a drastic physical transformation for Veer Savarkar, had lost excessive weight for the role, which led to a dangerous fall while on horseback.

The impact was severe—he passed out and broke all the ligaments in his knee. Despite these setbacks, the determined actor refused to give up on the film. He went on to complete Veer Savarkar using his own money, filming intense sequences with knee braces on, and even running in certain scenes—further aggravating his injury.
