But when filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari announced that he was making Ramayana, fans were ecstatic. Starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana, the filmmaker put together some of the biggest names from both Hindi and South cinemas as his ensemble cast. On the occasion of Ram Navami , Tiwari posted a fan-made portrait of Lord Ram, sparking curiousity about the official poster.
Nitesh Tiwari shared a powerful fan-made poster of Lord Ram on Ram Navami. It was from the moment Lord Ram tore apart the Pinaka, the celestial bow of Lord Shiv at Sita’s swayamvar. He credited the creater of the poster and celebrated the birth of Rama.
In a long post on Instagram, the filmmaker wrote, “The birth of our very own Lord Rama, who in the essence of his life showed the path of Dharma, tolerance, and forgiveness. His virtues not only make him the ideal human, but his love for everyone and everything in this universe is what makes him our god." He continued, “A special tribute as we celebrate his birth and present his energy, where he always made a choice, whether sacrificing or going to war, was always led with the fundamental of what was in the best interest of everyone beyond him.
Here’s to learning his ideals and trying to incorporate them into our daily life to create a world that’s good for everyone." Tiwari lauded the social media user who created the photo of Lord Ram. “A heartfelt shoutout to @naveenconcepts for creating this powerful fan art that beautifully captures the essence of Lord Rama’s divine spirit," he concluded.
In the comment box, cinephiles demanded the release of the official poster. “Can’t wait for official poster or announcement," wrote an Instagram user. Another added, “Release some official assets of #Ramayana.
" Other users expressed their desire to see Ranbir, Pallavi and Yash in their respective characters. Ramayana is speculated to feature an impressive ensemble cast including Ravi Dubey, Lara Dutta, Sheeba Chaddha, and Arun Govil. The film will be released in two parts, slated for 2026 and 2027, and is poised to become a landmark moment in Indian cinematic history.
