There is speculation that Deepika Padukone will have a 40-minute scene in Love & War. Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal’s Love & War has generated quite a buzz due to the casting coup pulled off by director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. As per reports, the film will be a love triangle among the actors and will bring intense emotions on screen.
There is now speculation that Deepika Padukone will make a guest appearance in the film for a steamy scene with Ranbir Kapoor. As per a Filme Shilmy report, Deepika is “being considered for a 40-minute part opposite Ranbir Kapoor". The report mentions that sources claim Deepika and Ranbir could be seen in “steamy romantic scenes", which could get the film an ‘A’ certificate from the censor board.
Deepika Padukone has not signed the film yet, but is considering the offer, the report claims. The portal wrote, “Despite exploring bold themes in Gehraiyaan, this role is said to be a challenging move and she’s reportedly taking her time to decide." However, it must be noted that there is no confirmation on this yet, and this is only speculation.
As for Love & War, Alia Bhatt previously spoke to News18 Showsha and expressed her excitement about the project. “There are so many layers to look forward to, that I don’t know which one to pick. First and foremost, the pleasure and honour of working with Sanjay sir, once again, under his guidance and gaze, flourish is step number one.
You can go anywhere with it because of his attention to detail and his attention to you," she said. Rumours suggest that Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal lock horns and will play Indian Armed Forces officers in the film. The film is slated for release in 2026.
Reportedly, the film might expect a major clash with Kannada superstar Yash’s upcoming film, Toxic. An official release date is yet to be announced..
