Ramta seers of Niranjani Akhara reach city

Prayagraj: About 400 seers of Ramta Panch of Niranjani Akhara on Saturday arrived in Prayagraj from Haridwar to participate in the forthcoming Maha Kumbh . The group left for Prayagraj by train after the ritual of eating ‘Kadhi Chawal' on Friday and reached Prayagraj on Saturday morning. Ramta Panch was welcomed by the saints of Niranjani Akhara.

After this, the Panch reached Baghambari Gaddi Mutt , where Peethadheeshwar Srimahant Balveer Giri welcomed them amid chanting of Vedic mantras. Flower petals were showered on the seers as ritualistic Brahmins recited Swasti Vachan. Giri said till the cantonment entry procession on Jan 4, the camp of Ramta Panch will remain in Mutt Baghambari.
