Shah Rukh Khan, the undisputed king of Bollywood, does not need an introduction. Even after reaching the pinnacle of Bollywood stardom at 59, he continues to win hearts both on and off-screen.

He is one of the rare stars who has long been admired by his co-stars for all the right reasons. The latest one to shower praise on him is veteran actor and I shaan Khattar ’s father, Rajesh Khattar. He recently reminisced about knowing Shah Rukh Khan since their college days in New Delhi and later working together in the 2006 film Don.

In a candid interview with Friday Talkies, Rajesh Khattar talked about his long-standing admiration for the Jawan actor, emphasising his consistent kindness and down-to-earth personality over the past 25 years. Recalling his college days with the actor, Rajesh revealed, “We are both from the same college and because we are both from Delhi, we were aware of each other. We were both from theatre, and we both worked on a lot of Hindu-Sikh series that were made during those days.

" Their paths crossed frequently during the filming of Shah Rukh’s 1995 movie Zamana Deewana, in which Rajesh’s then-wife, Neelima Azeem, also had a role. While their interactions became less frequent over time, Rajesh emphasised that Shah Rukh Khan’s personality has remained remarkably consistent despite his soaring stardom. “He is a gem of a person.

He is wonderful in real life. We don’t meet so often, but whenever I meet him, I see no difference in his behaviour. He shows the same interest in people that he showed about 25 years ago," Rajesh said.

He further added, “Every time you meet him...

His stature is bigger than what it was last time, he is a bigger star. But as a person, you don’t see any difference in him. He is very grounded and real.

I love this about him." Not just him, Shah Rukh Khan’s school friend Palash Sen has also spoken about his childhood days, claiming him to be exceptionally intelligent. Speaking with Lallantop, Palash said, “I believe that whatever success Shah Rukh has achieved in his chosen field, he would have achieved in any other field as well.

He’s among the most exceptionally intelligent men I have met in my entire life." On the cinematic front, Shah Rukh Khan is all set to grace the screens with his next grand movie, King. Helmed by his Pathaan director Siddharth Anand, the upcoming action thriller is set to go on floors in May 2025.

The film will also feature his daughter Suhana Khan, Abhay Verma and Abhishek Bachchan in key roles..
