Rajasthan second state to offer MBBS in Hindi

JAIPUR: MBBS students in Rajasthan will for the first time have the option of pursuing courses in Hindi, alongside English. The announcement by the medical education department coincided with Hindi Divas (Sept 14) and marked the fulfilment of a promise made in the Budget of the state's BJP govt earlier this year. "In the first phase, this facility has been launched at Dr Sampurnanand (SN) Medical College, Jodhpur, and Barmer Medical College , affiliated to Marwar Medical University," Gayatri Rathore, principal secretary (medical education department), said Saturday.

Students enrolling in the two medical colleges for the 2024-25 session will have the Hindi option. The country's first MBBS course in Hindi started last Oct in Madhya Pradesh..
