The Netherlands is in for rainy autumn weather this week, with some room for sunshine and temperatures that will steadily drop to a high of around 15 degrees on Thursday. Next weekend will be a bit warmer, dryer, and have more room for the sun, the meteorological institute KNMI expects. Monday started cloudy with a few showers.
The day will continue like that, with some moments of sunshine in between. A thunderstorm may occur in the afternoon in the southeast. Maximums will climb to around 21 degrees.
Tuesday morning will be cloudy but dry, with a moderate southwesterly wind that will be strong along the coast. Afternoon temperatures will climb to around 17 degrees. Showers will move across the country from the northwest to the southeast starting in the afternoon.
The rest of the week will be “changeable and cool, with regular rain but also occasional sunshine,” the KNMI said. Thursday is expected to be the coldest day of the week, with maximums around 15 degrees Celsius. Typical maximums for this time of the year are around 20 degrees.
The weekend will be warmer and dryer, with more room for sunshine. Little to no rain is expected for Saturday, and maximums could climb to around 19 degrees. Sunday may again see a shower or two, but the day will be an equal mix of sun and clouds and thermometers could hit 20 degrees.
