KATSINA : Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, the Governor of Katsina state has approved a minor cabinet realignment to optimize the performance of the administration’s Building Your Future agenda. Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Katsina on Tuesday. It stated that, Alhaji Malik Anas, a new commissioner nominee, has been appointed to head the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning.

Anas holds a Masters in Business Administration from Bayero University, Kano, equally a one time Katsina State Accountant General, and member of different professional bodies including Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, Financial Reporting of Nigeria among others. Similarly, Alhaji Bello Husaini Kagara, who heads the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, now moves to the Ministry of Finance. Hon.



Bashir Tanimu Gambo, who also serves as the Finance Commissioner, has been reassigned to the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs. The minor shake up further sees, Alhaji Yusuf Rabi’u Jirdede moving from Special Duties to the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Investment, while Alhaji Adnan Nahabu replaces him at the Ministry of Special Duties. In a brief remarks, Governor Radda directed the new appointee and reassigned commissioners to maintain excellent service.

The Governor specifically charged Alhaji Malik Anas to align his ministry’s objectives with the administration’s Building Your Future agenda, while urging all commissioners to intensify their efforts in serving the people of Katsina State..
