Jon Hamm, an all-time "Saturday Night Live" host, just handled the gig for the fourth time. That leaves him just one shy of being a member of the Five-Timers Club . Well, he'd better hope "Your Friends and Neighbors" gets another season so he has a reason to pop in and host next year.
During Hamm's episode, the next "SNL" host was revealed, and it's "Abbott Elementary" star Quinta Brunson . This will be Brunson's second time hosting "Saturday Night Live" (or as some call it, half-a-Hamm), so the first time around must have been sufficient. Also, her sitcom is still on the air and maybe the only network comedy with any real sway in the world at large, so Brunson may have had to be Steven Seagal bad not to get a second opportunity.
The musical guest will be Benson Boone. While "Saturday Night Live" will often turn to social media to post upcoming hosts and musical guests, they could do this one during the Hamm episode because the show is off for a couple weeks. Brunson and Boone will be on your screens on May 3.
Good thing the show got its "White Lotus" parody in while it could. Chris Morgan is a Detroit-based culture writer who has somehow managed to justify getting his BA in Film Studies. He has written about sports and entertainment across various internet platforms for years and is also the author of three books about '90s television.
