Reddit has found that a puppeteer linked to the upcoming Marvel Studios film “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” has altered their LinedIn profile to list the film’s title now as “Fantastic Four: First Contact”. Marvel has renamed multiple films and series in recent years during production or in post. The new title is already drawing suggestions it was inspired by 1996’s “Star Trek: First Contact” as both director Matt Shakman and Marvel’s Kevin Feige are big Trekkers.

The contemporary-set project is based an original script by Rock and follows a talented actress whose vices have derailed every attempt to revitalize her career. The film follows three quirky older nuns and a young Māori boy who hit the road across New Zealand’s South Island as one of the nuns faces forced retirement.

Sircar plays policewoman Blaise Fruge, Diop plays FBI cyber investigator Sierra ‘Tron’ Patron, Phillips as young Matt Petersen, and King as young Maggie Cutbush. The series has been picked up for two seasons.
