Kevin Quiambao posted a double-double effort for Goyang as the Sono Skygunners dismantled the Seoul SK Knights, 96-71, for back-to-back wins in the Korean Basketball League (KBL) Sunday, April 6. The 23-year-old Quiambao ignited the Skygunners’ offensive run in the second half where they went full throttle after seizing a 28-point lead, 71-43, to completely disarm the league-leading Knights.

The two-time UAAP MVP finished with 22 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, and one steal to help Goyang improve its slate to 18-35 at eighth spot. It was Quiambao’s fourth double-double performance since joining the Korean league last January. Lee Jong-Hyun starred for the Skygunners as he dropped a 34-point bomb while Alan Williams and Lee Keun Jun added 12 and 11 points, respectively.

On the other hand, Seoul remained on top as it held a 40-13 card. Meanwhile, Filipino-American Ethan Alvano took charge and lifted the Wonju DB Promy over the slumping Busan KCC Egis, 84-76, to get back on the KBL winning track. Alvano, the last year’s league MVP, looked like a man on a mission after listing 22 points, five rebounds, 11 assists, and two steals in 31 minutes of play.

Five of his teammates also finished with twin-digit scoring outputs to further boost Wonju's record to 23-30 at seventh place. The Egis dropped to ninth after listing their 35th defeat against 18 wins..
