Qualcomm has officially launched the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. The new mobile chipset is designed for faster speeds, better gaming, and smarter AI features.The Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 is build on TSMC’s 4nm process with Kryo CPU, instead of the Oryon cores found on the Snapdragon 8 Elite.

The chip uses a high-speed Cortex-X4 core running at 3.2GHz, alongside efficient Cortex-A720 cores for balanced power and speed. Qualcomm says it’s 31% faster than the previous generation while using 39% less power.



For gaming, the Adreno 825 GPU delivers a 49% boost in graphics performance and supports ray tracing. Gamers can also enjoy Snapdragon Elite Gaming features and Game Super Resolution 2.0 for smoother gameplay.

The Hexagon NPU improves on-device AI by 44%, allowing better voice recognition and faster processing for AI-powered apps. The 18-bit triple ISP also enables 4K HDR video recording at 60FPS, with support for up to 320MP camera sensors.For connectivity, the Snapdragon X75 5G modem reaches speeds of 4.

2 Gbps, though it focuses on sub-6GHz 5G instead of mmWave. Other features include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, LPDDR5X RAM, and UFS 4.

0 storage for fast data transfers.Brands like Xiaomi, OPPO, Redmi, iQOO, and Meizu are expected to use the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 in their upcoming smartphones. The iQOO Z10 Turbo Pro, set to launch later this April, could be one of the first to showcase the new chip.
