Qatar tribune Tribune News Network Doha Qatar University (QU)’s Health Sector organised an exhibition under the theme ‘Immerse Yourselves in a Maze of Opportunities with the Health Sector,’ aimed at providing students with valuable insights into the diverse health professions they have chosen or are considering. The event was designed to help students explore various career paths and make well-informed decisions about their futures in healthcare. The exhibition was a significant event, attended by prominent figures including Dr.

Mohamed Diab, vice president for student affairs at QU, Dr Aiman Erbad, vice president for research and graduate studies, Dr Muna Al-Marzouqi chief strategy and development officer, along with the AVPs and deans of health sector colleges, QU health professors, and staff. The event also saw participation from key stakeholders and health partners such as Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), Qatar Foundation (QF), Sidra Medicine, Aspetar, and other institutions, alongside students from QU Health. Dr.



Mohammad Diab, vice president of student affairs at QU, highlighted the unique opportunity the exhibition provided for health sector students. He remarked, “This event was a unique opportunity for health sector students to connect with their colleges and other health-related faculties within the university. It allowed them to meet the different departments of student affairs that offer a variety of services.

” Dr. Diab emphasized the event’s importance in providing a platform for students to explore training and employment opportunities within healthcare institutions, which are essential for their career readiness. He stated, “I believe this experience will be a valuable addition to enriching their academic journey.

” Prof. Mohamed Ahmedna, associate vice president for academic quality and strategy at the Health Sector, underscored the exhibition’s role in demonstrating the unity and collaboration among the health sector colleges at QU. He said, “The exhibition clearly demonstrates the collaboration and unity among our colleges and the opportunities available to students throughout their studies in the health sector as a whole.

” Prof. Ahmedna added, “Through these events, we aim to empower students to acquire the experience needed for success in their fields. We consistently work to expand these partnerships to provide the best educational and professional opportunities for our students,” Prof.

Ahmedna noted. Dr. Alla El-Awaisi, director of clinical operations and engagement at QU Health stated, “In our third QU Health students’ exhibition, we invite our students to explore a world of endless opportunities through participation in groundbreaking research, training in world-class facilities, developing leadership skills, and discovering a wide range of career paths that await our students to achieve their dreams in the field of health.

” Noof Al-Kuwari, assistant dean for student affairs at the College of Nursing at Qatar University, stated: “The exhibition is a valuable opportunity for health sector students to explore the various health specialties and programs offered by the health colleges at the university. We welcome all new students to the 3rd QU Health Students Exhibition, and we are especially proud at the College of Nursing to welcome our largest incoming class yet—the Class of 2028—comprising over 80 students from diverse backgrounds and nationalities, joining their peers in various health fields. This marks a significant milestone as we continue to grow and shape the future of nursing and healthcare together.

Abdullah Al-Emadi, College of Medicine student mentioned, “It was wonderful to take part in organizing this event and help the new students get to know about the health sector colleges and programs. We enjoyed the activities like the ‘Medical Pictionary’ game, and it was a pleasure to see the freshmen interacting and having fun. We hope this is a successful start to their academic journey.
