QREC Board restructured, Al Attiyah appointed chairman

DOHA: Minister of Sports and Youth H E Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani has restructured the Board of Directors of Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club (QREC), appointing Hamad bin Abdulrahman Al Attiyah as Chairman and Rashid bin Nasser Al Kaabi as Vice Chairman.
The new board also includes Khalifa bin Mohammed Al Attiyah, Faleh bin Mohammed Al Nasr and Abdulrahman bin Mansour Al Mansour.
H E Sheikh Hamad lauded the contributions of the outgoing board, acknowledging their efforts in advancing equestrian sports in Qatar.

He wished the new board success in driving further progress.
Al Attiyah, the newly appointed chairman, highlighted the challenges ahead, emphasising the importance of continuity in organising local and international races. 
He expressed gratitude to State officials for their trust in the new board and underscored the value of teamwork in the club’s next phase.




“We are entering a crucial period that builds on past efforts, requiring meticulous preparation for the remainder of the local season and upcoming international events,” Al Attiyah said.
He also extended his appreciation to the former board for their dedication and affirmed that the new leadership remains committed to elevating Qatari equestrian sports to greater heights. — QNA
