Amant, which finished with five straight wins, improved to 7-2 overall and tied Dutchtown (8-1, 5-1) for the district title — a scenario that played out for the second consecutive season. Denham Springs (6-4, 3-3) scored its only touchdown at the 8:21 mark of the third quarter when quarterback Jerry Horne threw to Colton LeBeouf for a 22-yard touchdown pass.

Horne, who was 8 of 22 for 82 yards and intercepted three times, added the two-point conversion..
