Qatar tribune QNA Doha Cinemas in Qatar are screening a variety of international films this week, coinciding with their global releases. The lineup spans several genres, including comedy, science fiction, action, and suspense. Among the featured films is the science fiction comedy ‘Mickey 17’.
Set in a futuristic world, the story centres on a space invasion mission that spirals into a series of chaotic events. Directed by Bong Joon Ho, the film stars Robert Pattinson, Naomi Ackie, and Toni Collette. Also screening is the action-thriller ‘The Encrypted’, which follows a CIA cryptographer struggling with post-traumatic stress after his wife is killed by criminals.
Determined to escape his current life, he blackmails his agency into giving him advanced training for a covert mission. Directed by James Hawes, the film stars Rami Malek, Caitríona Balfe, and Holt McCallany. In addition, the action-thriller ‘Inheritance’ tells the story of Maya, a young woman whose life is upended when she learns that her father was a former spy.
As she delves into his past, she becomes entangled in a web of espionage, gradually stepping into his shoes. Directed by Neil Burger, the film stars Phoebe Dynevor, Rhys Ifans, and Ciara Baxendale. As for previously released titles, ‘The Awakened Man’, ‘Novocaine’, and other popular films continue to be shown in cinemas across Doha.
