The Flying Titans seized the lead after two sets during their series opener before the Chargers reversed the outcome by taking the last three sets. It seemed headed to that direction once more after the Chargers came charging back in Set 3, averting a possible sweep. The Flying Titans wasted a couple of match points on Rondina’s spikes, letting Akari to gain foothold and grabbed the set on back-to-back Ivy Lacsina crosscourt hits.

Forging ahead by as many as seven points in Set 4, the Flying Titans never let go as Tubino and Rondina alternately battered the Chargers with an assortment of bombs to prevent a deciding frame. Tubino scored five straight points capped by an ace for a 21-14 Choco Mucho advantage as they effectively extinguished an incessant comeback assault from the other side. Rondina hammered Akari twice, the last one to the back row that Justine Jazareno chased to no avail at match point.
