Purse snatching: Woman, child hurt after fall from scooter

Ludhiana: A woman and her toddler got injured after they fell from a scooter, when a miscreant snatched the purse from the woman. The woman along with her husband and toddler were commuting on a scooter when the incident occurred. On the complaint of Aadesh Kumar of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, the Model Town police have registered a case against an unidentified accused.

Aadesh Kumar said he along with his wife and child were going to New Kartar Nagar on their scooter when a man on scooter snatched a purse which his wife was carrying. Following this, his wife and the child fell down and suffered injuries. He added that the accused escaped with the purse that contained mobile, some cash and documents.



ASI Gurwinder Kumar said the police are checking CCTVs installed near the spot to trace the accused. An unknown person has been booked as of now.
